A lifelong project to explore the possibilities of clay and glaze. The manufacturing process is subdivided, and exploration is carried out through the materials.

Inspiration

Expression in nature is composed of various elements, and I wanted to bring those elements into the streamlined manufacturing process of ceramics.

Research

We break down the ceramics manufacturing process to identify where I can experiment. Starting with the type of clay and its ingredients, I look for a tuning point before the bisque firing. Then, I explore the glaze after the bisque firing. The process of trial and error continues until I find the right recipe that captures the essence of nature.
