Bring nature through window

Design

To bring the light effects of nature inside the room, I designed a window product. A blind is a product that allows light and wind to pass through, so I designed its shapes and materials to create this phenomenon inside the room.

Inspiration

Light in nature has the power to heal people.　 Sunlight and wind through nature gives this effect. I focused on the windows in the city and thought that by designing the boundaries there, it might be possible to bring nature in.

Research

Focusing on products related to windows, we focused on the mechanism of blinds. Deriving variables for the shape and material of the blind's wings, we trialed various shapes and materials. Designed mirrored materials that reflect light and intricate reflective shapes to design spatial effects.
