Just the right size.
We designed simple glassware that fits seamlessly into modern life, using techniques from the Taisho era. We created a container that is perfectly sized for pouring beverages (200/350/500ml).
Glass made using the aburidashi technique, which was popular in the Taisho era (1912-1926). This is a uniquely Japanese crafted glass, a technique that once almost disappeared. The milky-white pattern is not painted on the glass. The pattern is created by the ephemeral yet beautiful colors of the opal glass itself, which emerge momentarily through the artisan's skillful control of temperature while molding.
